My Books: The Ricklan Saga

When I began my writing journey, I imagined a single standalone novel, full of rollercoaster twists and surprises that would WOW my readers. However, when I began the work of planning and plotting the story that was swirling around in my head, I realized it would not fit into a single volume. At least, not very neatly.

After much inner deliberation and discusion with friends and family, I decided to throw caution to the wind and bite the bullet. To write the story the way it should be written. Anything less would be a disservice to my readers, and quite frankly, it would do a disservice to the story itself.

So, the final result was a planned three volume series. While each book in and of itself has a clearly defined beginning, middle, and satisfying end to it's own story arc; when put together, they chronicle the saga of the Ricklan family and their stuggle to survive in a post-apocolyptic world and to shine a light in a time filled with darkness and sorrow.

The first volume, Liberation, is completed and is currently available on Amazon.

The second volume, Reclamation, is in the first draft phase and should be completed and in revision by the middle of the year. I'm going to work very hard to ensure that the time span between each volume does not exceed one year.

About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of transporting people to other worlds and dimensions with my stories and colorful imagination. Until recently, however, that dream had gone unrealized.

That has changed. In December of 2017, and at the age of 47, I decided to make 'someday' into today and put pen to paper so to speak. I've since published my first novel and I'm now drafting a sequel. The second in what is a planned trilogy.

It's an intricate and heartfelt story that will take you to another world and introduce you to a cast of courageous characters fighting for freedom and the preservation of life in the face of social oppression and mortal danger. I feel that this story will appeal to many.

This is just the beginning of what I hope will become a very long and gratifying adventure.
